Harry is a wizard and he survived a killing curse that a dark wizard named Voldemort casted on him. Voldemort is like the Evil Dude of all time. The killing curse is fatal. Anyway, Harry goes to this magical school called Hogwarts. Well, Voldemort is rising again because he is a dark wizard. So, Harry has these two friends named Hermione and Ron. He has a crush on Ron’s younger sister named Ginny. (I’m not sure if that’s important to your mom and friend.) Well, they continue on with teenage lives dealing with major drama with love. There are Death Eaters who serve Voldemort. They try to infiltrate Hogwarts. So, Harry’s long time enemy Draco Malfoy (who became a Death Eater) suceeded with getting the Death Eaters to Hogwarts. And there’s a battle and they kill Headmaster Dumbledore, the wise old wizard who was very famous and smart. Ta Da!
