Just to add- £50 notes are quite rare within England, and lots of places aren’t keen to take them. They don’t have the Queen’s hollogram on them, or any other of the anti-forgery devices invented. You can still take them to a bank and change them for other notes. Scotland and Northern Ireland use Great British Pounds as well, but they print some of their own money, in addition to English money. Their currency can still be used within England, even if some stupid cashiers don’t recognise it. best bet is, if you do get hold of any Scottish or Northern Irish money, take it to a bank.
