OK. Let’s not look at geneticists, paleontologists, botanists, biochemists (as that list would get rather large). You seem to be interested mostly in anatomists and physiologists: * Claude Bernard (the father of modern physiology) angiogenesis as an ’organizing principle’ in biology. * J.S.
