Can someone from Canada get culture shock if living in the U.S.?

As a Brit who lived in the US for four years, I found I had no problems with culture shock over there (biggest problem was learning to cope with the difference in sense of humour – in particular the kind of one-off minor witticisms that pepper conversation in Britain are relatively rare in the States, and can be easily misunderstood), but I did find rather to my surprise that I suffered some ‘reverse culture shock’ on getting back home. My (extremely limited) experience of Canadian culture is that it is in some sense part way between US and European (and my impression is that you have the best of both).
