Can someone find me a karyotype of achondroplasia?
The karyotype should look the same as a common karyotype since achondroplasia isn’t due to abnormal chromosome number, chromosome rearrangement, or otherwise unusual chromosomes. It is due to specific alleles and allele differences generally don’t show up surrounded by a karyotype. The link below have karyotypes of normal men and women as capably as chromosome diagrams for different forms of achondroplasia.
