Can someone explain to me null hypothesis and and alternative hypothesis?

0

The null hypothesis basically states that there is no statistical difference between the groups you’re comparing. The alternative states that there is a difference. The p values are the level that any difference could occur by chance. .01 means that there is a 1% chance that it occurred by chance. You accept the null when your statistical analysis value is below the critical value, which depends on the p value. I know this can be confusing.
