In that magma and lava, there is lots of iron and other metals in motion. I would be surprised if it didn’t have magnetic effects. Volcanoes also produce fire tornadoes. These are real twisters, like the ones that rip through the plains every year. The only difference is that they are made and caused by fire and its intense heat.
