Can someone explain the different gun calibers to me?
Your link said nothing about the .357 Magnum that I could see. Here goes… ALL the calibers you mentioned are medium to large bore defensive calibers. All are good. What works in some calibers does not work in others, so ammo choice plays a huge role in picking out a defensive handgun. First, the .357 Magnun (with 125 grain semi-jacketed hollow points out of a 4″ revolver) is the best man stopper yet, period. The bore diameter, generated velocity and bullet design align just right. I can’t explain that any better except that the evidence is in and that is how it is. Don’t worry about over-penetration if you hit your target with this round because it is design to penetrate enough to get the job done and not over-penetrate. If over-penetration is still a concern for you then load the Glazier type pre-fragmented slugs.
