Can someone explain the basic foundation beliefs of Islam?
JITNOMG, there are several different sects in Islam. The basic belief that are common to all sects is 1. Faith in One invisble God of Abraham, 2. Faith in Prophets and Angels of God, with Muhammad being the last Prophet promised in the Bible. 3. Faith in the Books, Torah, Gospel, Psalms, The Law, with Quran being the last revelation. 4. Judgment Day, when the dead will be brought back to life. For people who believe in Jehovah, the big question is why did millions of Christians and Jews accept Islam? Unfortunately, very little is written about this in classical Arab sources, because the southern Arabs of Mecca and Medina were not Christians and Jews. They had no interest in recording why the Christians and Jews accepted Islam.
