Can someone explain me about PRIMARY, SECONDARY, TERTIARY TREATMENT OF EFFLUENT???????

Primary treatment of effluent basically involves separating solid waste material from the fluid by grating Secondary treatment involves passing the effluent from the primary treatment through an aeration tank. During the aeration process, seed bacteria are introduced into the tank. The bacteria, with the injected air, will break down the waste in the effluent. The sludge collected at the bottom of the tank will be put into a sluge digestor tank. Under anaerobic condition, bacteria will convert the sludge to fertilizer quality and methane gas. Tertiary treatment involves cleaning the effluent from the secondary treatment process with chemicals and further filtration process. The effluent from the tertiary treatment process will be clear and clean enough to be discharged back to the environment or receiving stream / river nearby.
