Can someone explain Chaos Theory in simple terms?
It deals with non-linear systems — which describes much of the world. Although in principle you could apply simple laws of physics to calculate the system’s future behavior, those equations turn out to be so complex that even a small, seemingly insignificant change in initial conditions will lead to a wildly different solution. The result is that many real-world systems behave chaotically and are, therefore, fundamentally unpredictable.
