Can somebody thoroughly explain the disease GERD and the CEA test..?
GERD is Gastro-esophageal reflux disease. GERD is a disease associated with acid of the stomach entering the lower part of the esophagus. It is commonly considered as gastritis or acidity. CEA is carcino-embryonic antigen. This is a tumor marker commonly for gastrointestinal tract tumors. The cost of doing CEA could be few hundred rupees whereas WBC count will be done in less than a hundred rupees. The cost depends where do you get them done.
