Can some on pleas give me some info on david livingstone & henry morton stanley?
David Livingstone was a British physician who wanted to find the source of the Nile river, in Africa. He wound up in some inner country like the Congo and then stopped writing. But he was a well known dude back in Britain and everyone wanted to know where he was, if he was still alive. Henry MORGAN Stanley was a newspaperman who was interested in finding him and with very little idea how to find him, just set out looking for him. Africa was called The Dark Continent because no one knew that much about it. But Stanley, after months and months of searching FOUND him. Half his party was dead from disease and tribal murder; and when he came up to him, he said, in what must be the most IRONIC GREETING in human history, “Dr. Livingstone, I presume?” As if it was no big deal!
