What If? 2 is a book of complied essays of various historians dealing with alternate history. It deals with many different events in world history by first explaining the background information and telling you how it really happens and then explaining how it could have gone differently into a different direction how the effects of the new alternate history. Since there is no one author there could have been many reasons for writing these essays.
