Can smoking marijuana cause schizophrenia?
I am appalled at the lengths to which our government will go to enhance their position that marijuana is a “killer drug.” From Reefer Madness to today’s schizophrenia claims, it seems they will make any sort of claim based on the thinnest of evidence. I am also appalled at the number of otherwise normal young people who are put on medications to “fix” the myriad of mental issues they supposedly have these days. It seems that everyone must be labeled. Paranoia, social anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, OCD, depression, ADHD, bipolar, etc. As a result of labeling, all these poor folks must be medicated to become “normal.” What we seem to be completely disregarding these days is that very few people NEVER have a bad day, never get depressed or anxious, etc. Today’s philosophy is “take this pill, you’ll be fine.” The “solutions” are all over TV, trying to convince us that due to the fact that we are human, with human emotions and normal human mood swings, something is actually wro
