Can single institutions apply to the Gateway?
A. It is very unlikely that an individual institution will be able to deliver a full line of learning. One of the key criteria for successful applications will be to demonstrate how institutions will work as part of a consortium to deliver Diplomas – collaboration is an important part of this. Evidence of planning, for example, which institutions will deliver which elements to which students (either their own, or those from other institutions) will help to demonstrate collaborative working. If a consortium plans to increase the number of places over time (e.g. starting with a small group, and increasing it over a number of years), and change the pattern of delivery (which institutions will deliver which elements), then evidence of these plans should be included in the application.
