Can shunt trips and UVRs be installed on either side of the operating handle?

Yes, they can be installed on either side of the operating handle on Thermal-Magnetic breakers. However, the internal accessories on Electronic Trip circuit breakers must be installed on the right side of the handle. There is a channel in the back of the breaker to route control wires to either side.
