Can Short words of advice influence behaviour?
Over the years, many people have either called, e-mailed or written to me to ask for advice on things. From how to connect with an employee to how to design a business strategy, and just about everything in between, and I have often felt waaaay over my head when offering advice. In most cases, I was under qualified to offer any kind of advice, but I’d do my research and then offer my thoughts, simple as they may have been. I am a fan of “short and sweet” advice, the kind that my father used to give to me when I was down and really needed to hear some good advice. What I needed was a book or a resource that had quick words of advice from other people who had “been there… and done that”. I couldn’t find one. Then, one day, out of frustration and determination to create something that everyone can use, I decided to create a book by connecting with successful people from all over the world and asking for their words of advice on living and getting the most from life, but to give it in 15
