Can Sheep disprove evolution?
It appears that not only do you not know anything about evolution, you also know nothing about sheep. Sheep are most certainly capable of eating by themselves. However they’re usually kept in an artificial environment – a farm – rather than in wide open grassy spaces where they can find their own food easily. On the other hand there are a number of farm animals which we humans have altered so much over time that they’re nothing like the original wild animal. Many breeds of swine, cattle, chickens etc. are so modified that they can’t survive in the wild, but their wild ancestors can.
I disagree. Because, evidently, you’ve never seen sheep that have grown up in the wild. The ones you’re talking about are domesticated. Like all domesticated animals (cows, chickens, pet dogs and cats), the ability to survive in the wild has been bred out of them over thousands of years. Proof of the fact that animals that haven’t adapted (evolved) to domestication are still capable of surviving in the wild include wild sheep, wild cows, wild dogs and wild cats etc etc. Similarly, you may want to look at a far more rapid example of selective breeding in the bulldogs as they existed in the late 1800s (photographic records are easily found on google) and compare them with how the breed has evolved into the different facial structure we know today. Ultimately, your question is flawed because it does not take into consideration the act of domestication. It simply assumes that sheep were sitting around, already docile and domesticated, waiting for humans to take care of them. Similar to the
Modern sheep have been made dumb by over breeding by humans over the course of centuries, much like small yappy dogs. Sheep were the first animals humans domesticated for food thousands of years ago, and the traits we wanted were docility, thick wool, and lots of meat. Far from encouraging brains, humans favored dumber and dumber sheep, as they are easier to herd and don’t try to run away when you come at them with an ax. Wild sheep, as they had evolved before we got involved were presumably reasonably smart, as are the wild relatives of sheep today. Compare the intelligence and ability to survive in the wild of say…a wolf…to Paris Hilton’s little purse rat. Same thing.
I’m not at all surprised you hear “you stupid idiot” so often. You say, “Sheep…are so stupid that if a person doesn’t remind them to eat, they will starve to death because it doesn’t dawn on them to eat themselves,” which is quite clearly made up nonsense. Therefore the rest of your question means nothing and most certainly does not disprove evolution as it is based on a non-sequitur. If you really want people to believe creationism instead of evolution, then it is probably best not to just make things up and sound stupid. Leave the arguing to people with an IQ in triple figures.
Shepherds exist to protect sheep (a financial investment) from other predators (that include wolves but mostly consist of other people). They will not starve if left unattended, they eat grass. To be fair we have bred wolves into dogs which are pretty useless without their owners, but that’s an argument FOR evolution, not against it. God did not create puppy dogs, we did!
