Can She Sue For Hipaa Violation?

I’m not saying she doesn’t have a case, because she probably does. However you are acting like the old job did something wrong. Perhaps they saw the name and forwarded it right away. Perhaps they didn’t look at the information. Even if they DID what makes you think that got her fired from the NEW job? What because the company she works at didn’t know she worked at that old job? Well in that case they could probably fire her for not admitting to that previous job. Although how would they have known where she worked now? OK seriously I’d say tell her to talk to a lawyer. I’m sure she could sue about something out of it. On the other hand unless she can show that the old job falsified the results don’t think they had anything to do with her being fired. Chances are she failed, in which case if the results would have got to the new job she would have been fired sooner. The other way I see it is she didn’t inform them of the prior job and was fired for lying to the company about work histor
