Can sequence more than one sample using only one sequencing lane?

0

We can sequence up to 12 samples in 1 lane with the Illumina multiplexing protocol. However, we do not recommend multiplexing more than 4 samples as this will drastically cut down on the amount of reads per sample which may have an adverse effect on your data. For example, if there are any very high abundance sequences, then you will start to lose information for rare sequences.
