Can Senator McCain win the 2008 Presidential election by using mudslinging tactics?

The bottom line is who turns out to vote. Those who are pre-disposed to like John McCain will like him. Those who are pre-disposed to dislike him will dislike him. Those who aren’t sure must really LISTEN to what is being said, weigh the evidence and make decisions for themselves. Those among us who take everything at face value (without thinking critically for themselves) may fall prey to mudslinging tactics and end up voting for someone that they may not support. So, if John McCain does nothing but sling mud during his campaign and the American people don’t think for themselves, then, yes, there is a possibility that John McCain could win with that tactic. On the other hand, it could backfire on him because people do get tired of negativity in politics. Sources: my opinion.

Mudslinging is part of any US presidential campaign, and the voters love it. So, the greatest mud-slinger will win the election. Unless Obama decides to crash another plane. In that case Mc Cain will win hands down, as the republicans are very effective in scaring the US population.
