Can Secondary cardholders register?
Yes, but the Main cardholder will need to register each Secondary cardholder themselves when using our Verified by Visa website at https://secure6.arcot.com/vpas/firstdirect. They will use their own answers to the security questions during registration, but will enter the Secondary cardholder’s name instead of their own name. They will then be able to set up a password and Personal Assurance Message for the secondary cardholder. In 2005, we started to issue Secondary cardholders with a different card number from the Main cardholder. In this case, the Main cardholder should register using the card number on the Secondary card, but they will still use their own answers to the security questions. Secondary cardholders may be able to register themselves via a pop-up (or in-line) window during online shopping, but only if they know the full address to which statements on the card are sent, and the answer to the security questions that relate to the Main cardholder.
