The program can search any file, including .exe’s or dll’s. However, Search and Replace does not have a built in Acrobat viewer. Acrobat pdf’s are compressed and the text you see when looking in the viewer does not exist as such in the raw file. Because of this Search and Replace will likely not be of much use for searching pdfs.
