Can Schools Discipline Their Students For Matters That Happen Outside Of School?

Yup, Schools are somewhat liable for events that occur on the route between home and school. You can bet there will be issues if they fight while walking home from school. If they are in a private school, there could be issues at anytime. They are even more concerned about reputation and will expel kids who fight or do stupid things on weekends or even during the summer. Three seniors were expelled from my high school (Marmion Academy, google it) for calling the press when a teacher flipped a desk with a student sitting in it. I saw the whole thing happen and the kid deserved it. The seniors called the paper… EXPELLED!
