Can SBIG cameras be used with Macintosh computers?

0

Historically SBIG has been the only astronomical CCD camera manufacturer to support the Mac. We have a version of our standard operating software, CCDOPS, for the Mac but it does not include AO-7 support and it does not support USB. In the past just about any Mac with a standard SCSI port could be used. SBIG makes a SCSI/Parallel adapter for our older parallel cameras. However, more recent models of Macintosh computers do not have SCSI ports installed, and there is no way (short of installing a SCSI card) to connect them to an SBIG camera. Finally note that Macintosh support is not currently under development at SBIG. Older products may still be compatible.
