In fact, 3ware SATA RAID controllers connected to SATA drives outperform SAS controllers connected to SAS drives in sequential I/O applications. 3ware is the only hardware RAID supplier to offer both SATA controllers and SAS controllers. 3ware customers can chose the appropriate serial interface (SAS, SATA, or a combination of both) that will best fit their specific design requirement.
