Can Saint Bernards live comfortably outside in winter?

YES. Actually Saint Bernards prefer the cold, winter months. They love snow! It is rarely too cold for them and they are most active and I believe happiest in winter months. However you should provide a dry, draft free shelter out of the wind and snow. In the coldest climates warm bedding is also a good idea. But do not be surprised if your saint occasionally chooses to sleep outside in the snow. Dogs should always be gradually acclimated to the cold rather than abruptly introduced all at once.
