DLS is a non-Unicode application. Therefore, cannot interpret Russian characters and replaces these by ???? . The Word Add-in will face the same problem. However, there are two workarounds. 1. MS Word (like all Office applications) is a Unicode application. So, printing directly from Word to the LabelWriter is an option. 2. Work-around to print Russian characters from DLS and the Word Add-in: Remark: this is only a suggestion. If this affects also other applications, don’t hold us responsible. But it is worth trying and can always by changed back. For this, the language for non-unicode applications needs to be changed. How to change this? Click Start and click Control Panel Click Country settings Click Advanced Select Russian as Language for programs which are not Unicode-compatible. Click OK Reboot PC.
