Can Rheos and Rheos+ units be common vented with other appliances?

0

Rheos units are Category IV vented appliances. The National Fuel Gas Code does not allow Category I appliances to be common vented with any appliance that is not also a Category I appliance. Therefore, the Rheos and Rheos+ units must never be vented into the same system with any Category I unit. There are ways to common vent multiple Rheos appliances into the same stack. In some cases, external fan systems will be required. In other cases, they will not be. Since there are no set industry rules or charts for common venting Category IV appliances, please contact our Applications Engineering Department at 603-335-6300 with specifics about the installation, and we will help you determine the proper way to common vent the Rheos units in your application.
