Can Retract-A-Gate be mounted to drywall without any wooden casement or trim?

Yes, you can mount Retract-A-Gate to drywall. It is recommended to mount the brackets to the stud behind the drywall. Each bracket has two screws which are spaced a little over two inches apart. Since a normal wall stud is 1.5 inches, you will need to use a special heavy duty wall anchor for one screw; which we offer on our Prices page. Please refer to our Installation page for further details.
