Can residents keep medications in their room?

0

It is rare that a resident would have the need to keep medication in the room. The staff of the facility is readily available to administer medication at the time the resident needs it. A physician signature is required for residents to self-medicate. If physician approved the medication would have to be in a lock box so no other person would have access to it.
