Yes, CKY Interlocking Blocks (IBS) can be knocked down for renovation purposes. For openings less than 1000mm (1Meter) wide, the load is taken over by the top bond beam at the top of the wall. For bigger openings, our structural engineer would be available for further advise to suit your design need.
