Can registry agents assist clients with e-filing?
Yes. A BC lawyer, notary public or land surveyor will be required to electronically sign a document or plan in accordance with the Director’s requirements as part of an application to the Land Title Office. Once the document or plan has been electronically signed, it can be submitted for registration by other parties such as a paralegal or registry agent. Legal professionals and land surveyors have the option to choose a registry agent to review and submit electronically signed documents or plans on their behalf for registration. Staff for local government authorities may submit their own electronically signed land title forms or plans.
