Can real estate websites ever succeed in India given the complex laws for land and property acquisition?

Yes they can. The true purpose of a real estate website is to provide information about the various land / homes available for rent / sale. It only acts as a bridge between the seller and the buyer. For example: Consider jobsites like Naukri.com or Monster.com, do they get you a job. NO! They only act as a connecting force between the Company and the Candidate. The same concept is only followed here in Real estate websites. However, the one thing that these web portals should take care about is : the misleading by some brokers / Owners / Buyer. But, considering the various advantages that these sites provide us, it is a minor issue! There are some precautions that the buyer / seller must always take before purchasing the land. If they do so this minor issue can also be eliminated completely.
