Can raw (organic) chickpeas get moldy?

0

Anything can get moldy if it is wet and in the proper conditions. If they are in a sealed, airtight container, I would probably say they are just not ripe. Otherwise, they are probably moldy. Take a look at them and determine if the greenish color is on the outside or coming from the inside. If it’s something you can scrape off, it’s mold. If it’s coming from the inside, I would imagine it’s just that they’re not ripe. Think moldy cheese – you can cut off the moldy parts and eat the inside. Same thing goes here.
