One Colorado school district is reporting success in its pilot after school program that uses rap music to teach everything from math to literature and even geography. Students in the program have shown increased interest and participation in school. The after school program also reduces the likelihood that teens will become involved in gang activity. Using music to teach isn’t a new idea.
