No. Short wave infrared heaters must not be installed within any hazardous area. No part of the electrical control equipment associated with such heaters should be installed in such an area unless it is installed in conformity with EN 60079-14 – 1997. If in doubt, check with a qualified electrician or your local Health & Safety Officer.
