No, there is currently not a valid way to crack and play ps3 games. There has been quite a bit of news circling about the first ps3 modchips being released, although the simple fact that there are so many revisions of the ps3 hardware will make a universal modchip impossible. A group has figured out a way to play backed up ps2 games on the original 60gb PS3, although it is much cheaper and easier just to mod a ps2 to do the same thing.
