Can PS2 lasers be modified or upgraded to avoid disc read errors?
You want to open up the disc drive first. There will be 1 (or 2 depending on version) white gears in the back of the drive, you can use a 1/8 allen wrench to turn these gears (a few clicks at a time) if that doesn’t work, and you feel daring, you can try adjusting the laser pots on the bottom of the laser. It can be complicated if you have no clue what to do.
