Can projects and project teams be anywhere in the world? Are there any countries excluded from the competition?
People from any country are eligible. If United States government regulations and or United States government imposed economic sanctions prohibit monetary transfers to a winner’s country of residence, the Institute will be precluded from awarding prize money to that winner and will award the prize money to the next highest ranked entry. In this unlikely event, the Institute reserves the right to promote and celebrate the top-ranked entry within compliance with U.S. laws and regulations.
