Can prenatal vitamins make periods lighter or shorter?

I wouldn’t think so… prenatal vitamins are just vitamins. They have a little more of certain things than regular vitamins, but nothing that should cause you to have a change in your menstrual cycle. You may not be ovulating, since your uterine lining is not building up enough to shed much. Being on birth control for a prolonged period of time can cause your body to get used to not ovulating so the lining doesn’t build up in anticipation of pregnancy and you have much shorter and lighter periods. If you aren’t on birth control, you might consider seeing a doctor to make sure you are ovulating like you should be.
