CAN PREJUDICE AND DISCRIMINATION BE PREVENTED AND CHALLENGED?
Of course it can. Otherwise things would have never changed. Usually it can be prevented just by being exposed. It’s hard to believe all black people are anything if you know 5 or 6 who don’t meet that stereotype. It can be challenged every day. Just stand up to it. Just don’t tolerate it. That is challenging it. Someone fought for it. No one goes about their day intending to be the first crusader. Rosa Parks was just a woman who’d had a long day. She was at the right place, the right time. Martin Luther King Jr was just another 14 year old boy. Shannon Faulkner and Nancy Mace just wanted to attend the nations best military school. Education is both the cure and the prevention for discrimination.
