Can pregnant women be around sheep or goats?

0

One of the biggest myths of pregnancy is animals, for whatever stupid reason people invent, can harm pregnant women. The only threat a sheep or goat could give to you is if it kicks you, and I doubt you’d let that happen. Make sure you go to your doctor to get information about what you should be exposed to, because whoever told you this is deliberately trying to make you paranoid. People pose a greater threat to you than animals. Someone mentioned toxoplasmosis, which can be present in cat feces IF A CAT IS AN OUTSIDE CAT AND/OR EATS RAW MEAT, but that’s it. Toxoplasmosis is present in all raw meats, however. You’re at greater risk for it from handling raw ground meat from the grocery store than you are from litter. Just make sure you keep your hands clean.
