Practices can use any tools they wish for the preparation phase, but must use CHART and CHART Online for their accreditation. It is helpful to practices to upload data from CHART to CHART Online as soon as possible, as some views of the data are only available in CHART Online; this also makes it possible for the assessor to see progress in data quality improvement (or maintenance of high quality) over time.
