Can practices engage in PBC on their own?

Answer Yes. GPs cannot be forced into locality or other commissioning groups. However, we would encourage practices to consider the benefits of working with others. For example, working with other practices will create a larger pool of resources for reinvestment in services, which can then be accessed by a larger number of patients across the practices involved (eg. diagnostic services provided to a number of practices).
