Yes they can! Anywhere where you have one electrical phase present you will be able to use HomePlug. PowerLine HomePlug will not work: – through most electricity meters – on different electrical phases (*) (*) Multiple electrical phases are only normally found in industrial installations. In virtually all homes there is only a single phase, so even if you have separately fused mains circuits in your house (e.g. upstairs and downstairs “ring main”) PowerLine HomePlug will work. Some apartment and office blocks will have multiple phases to the building, but all self contained units will still only have a single phase to them.
