Can PowerKey products provide constant power to my system?
No. When the power goes out or you unplug the PowerKey/PowerKey Pro units, all the outlets shut off and remain off until power is restored and you start up the Mac again. However, PowerKey Pro has a special sensor so that can detect when the power comes back on after an outage, so it can be programmed to automatically turn itself on (and start up some models of Mac) when the power is restored. This can be handy if the Mac was shut down before the power went out as the Energy Saver’s automatic restart feature will not start up the Mac in that case.
