You can run appliances through the Inverter off the Battery whilst the car is switched off. The time you can use it for will depend on the size of the Inverter and also the Appliance being used. As long as DC volts from the battery stay above 11Volts, it will run. It is recommended that the battery be charged at least once every hour to make sure there are no interruptions and to also make sure you can start the vehicle after use.
