Can porcelain tile be sealed, and if so, what kind of sealer is recommended?

Only unglazed porcelain can be sealed, and only with a penetrating-type sealer. Based on the extremely low surface porosity of an unglazed porcelain, Aqua Mix “UltraSolv™” is recommended for highest performance. Aqua Mix “High-Gloss Sealer” can be used on a rough-textured porcelain surface (interiors only) when a gloss finish is required on a matte surface.
